How to Load ELF Fonts in Embroidery Legacy Software

Step 1. Download the Font

The file will usually save to your computer’s Downloads folder unless you chose another location.

Step 2. Open the Software

  • Launch Embroidery Legacy Software.
  • Ensure your software version is at least build 2076 or newer.

  • Create a new design or open an existing one.

Step 3. Import the Font File

  1. In the top-left corner, click on the three dots menu.
  2. Select “Import Assets.”

Step 4. Locate Your Font File

  1. In the import window, click on the three dots to browse files.

  1. Under Look in:, navigate to your Downloads folder (or wherever you saved the file).

  1. Select the .ELF font file and click Open.

Step 5. Complete the Import

  1. You’ll see a message like “Selected Fonts: 1/1.”

  1. Check the box for the font you want to import.

  1. Click OK, then Import.

  1. A confirmation message will appear: “Import completed successfully.”

Step 6. Start Using Your New Font

  • Create a Text object in your design.

  • Open the Font dropdown menu.

Your newly imported ELF font will appear in the list, ready to use. 🎉
