How to Import Your Digitizer’s Dream Workshop Files
Follow these steps to download and open your workshop lesson files inside the Embroidery Legacy Software:
1. Download the Lesson Files
- Log in to EmbroideryLegacy.com
- using your account.
- Go to Courses → My Courses → Digitizer’s Dream Workshop.
- Open Week 1 → Run Stitch Basics and Drawing Shapes (or the lesson you’re on).
- Click Download Lesson File.
2. Extract the Files
- Locate the downloaded ZIP folder in your Downloads folder.
- Right-click and select Extract All.
- A new folder will appear containing your lesson files (.JDX format).
3. Open in EL Software
- Launch the Embroidery Legacy Software.
- Go to the top left and click Open.
- Navigate to your extracted lesson folder.
- Choose the file labeled Master to digitize along with the lesson.
- Use the Done file to compare your work with John’s finished version.
4. Backdrop Visibility
- If you don’t see the artwork, click on Backdrop inside the software.
- Toggle the backdrop visibility on or off as needed.
That’s it! Repeat these steps for each lesson: download, extract, open the Master file, and use the Done file as your reference.
